Service Description
This is a 6-week course designed to teach our students the basics of watercolour techniques. The classes will begin on July 1st, 2022 (the date is subject to change) and will take place every Thursday 6pm to 8:30pm. In this course you will learn: -basics of watercolour theory, -basic watercolour brush techniques, -pressure, release, and stroke in watercolour forms, -arial perspective and scale in watercolour, -light and shadow in watercolour, -composition and special effects in watercolour About the teacher: What do you get when you combine a passionate teacher with a well-trained artist? You get fun, effective, multi-disciplinary teaching that connects educational art learning with fulfilling personal expression. Pindaro’s formal training covers a wide range of the visual arts spectrum; from technical illustration and graphic design, to classical fine arts including printmaking and sculpture; and many other kinds of art forms. Over his extensive career, Pindaro has acquired in-depth knowledge of various artistic techniques and materials such as graphite, charcoal, colour pencils, and dry pastels; as well as, watercolours, inks, acrylic, and oil paints. This versatile teacher-artist is comfortable giving an in-depth interactive theoretical lecture as he is delivering a life drawing or painting demonstration. He is an approvable instructor with a sense of humor able to apply sound classroom management and create an open, communicative, and supportive environment, in which each student feels safe, secure, and appropriately challenged. Pindaro believes that to grow as a teacher and as an artist, one should be open to all means of expression, experiment with innovative mediums, and be open to appreciate artworks from different perspectives. Materials necessary for the course: -GRA12-Watercolour set with palette, -medium-sized watercolour brushes with fine tip (Princeton #2, #6,#16), -student grade watercolour 140lb. paper block, -masking tape, -2H graphite pencil, -2 plastic jars with lids, -paper towels, -board (optional).
