About the event

Vernissage: May 3 I 5pm-7pm

Step into the vibrant world of Charlotte Boulanger's artistic expression in "Colors and Textures," an exhibition showcasing over forty canvases brimming with intense hues and captivating textures. Charlotte's affinity for bold colors and diverse textures reflects her unique perspective, where she intertwines her passion for words, cherished letters adorned with beautiful stamps, and repurposed materials into captivating compositions.

Embark on a journey through Charlotte's creative evolution, ignited by her exploration into painting in the fall of 2017 under the guidance of artist Daniela Zekina. Drawing inspiration from Zekina's mentorship and her own experiences, Charlotte has delved into the vast possibilities of acrylics, honing her skills and nurturing her artistic voice. Her mixed-media pieces often incorporate recycled elements and fragments of her other passions, such as jewelry making, knitting, and embroidery, creating rich tapestries of personal expression.

Explore Charlotte's artistic journey through a series of captivating exhibitions that precede "Colors and Textures":

  • Fall 2023: "Aventure," a mixed-media canvas, displayed at the LaSalle Artists Association salon at the Henri-Lemieux Cultural Center.
  • 2022: Exhibition of a 32-page sketchbook created during the winter of 2021-2022 at the "Carnet 02" event hosted by the Maison de la culture Marie-Uguay.
