Durant l’été 1922, Nick Carraway, un jeune écrivain, s’installe à New York et se retrouve fasciné par son mystérieux et richissime voisin, Jay Gatsby. Connu pour ses fêtes spectaculaires, Gatsby cherche secrètement à retrouver Daisy Buchanan, la femme qu’il a autrefois aimée. Réalisé par Baz Luhrmann et mettant en vedette Leonardo DiCaprio, le film explore l’amour, l’ambition, la richesse et l’illusion du rêve américain.

Le film est une adaptation du célèbre roman de F. Scott Fitzgerald, publié en 1925, qui propose un regard critique sur la société américaine de l’âge du jazz.
